The Maryland Southern Transportation System (d/b/a MDRAIL) is finalizing negotiations on a contract to acquire real property and construct a new headquarters facility. The deal, which was entered into on August 31st of this year, will allow MDRAIL to expand its facilities and grow operations. Groundbreaking for the new facility is expected to take place on or around October 27th.
MDRAIL has reached out to its engineering partners at Georgia Road, Kansas Pacific Chinook Lines and Cumberland, Utica and Toledo for assistance in the design of the facility in order to maximize operations. “Drawing from our partner’s experience and expertise will allow us to get more operational potential with this new facility,” states MDRAIL founder and COO D. A. Curtis. “We are excited to come up with a design that will mark MDRAIL as a leader in the field.”
